Project communications management ensures the timely and appropriate generation, collection, dissemination, storage and disposition of project information via formal structures and processes to aid the achievement of project objectives.

Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. The principles of communications management and their application
  2. Acceptance of responsibilities for communications management
  3. Maintenance of project management information systems and communications networks
  4. Drafting, vetting, approving, obtaining endorsement and forwarding of reports to higher authority
  5. The place of communications management in the context of the project life cycle and other project management functions
  6. Appropriate communication management technologies; their capabilities, limitations, applicability and contribution to project outcomes
