Curriculum Leadership in Tertiary Education
This course aims to develop a comprehensive understanding of the principles and discourses underlying curriculum leadership and design across both the higher education and vocational education and training sectors. It explores insights from the fields of curriculum theory and learning design, and ranges across a variety of models of curriculum design from competency based training to outcome oriented graduate profile approaches and beyond. It will provide an opportunity to grapple with contemporary curriculum issues, and is aimed at educational leaders with responsibilities for program design and implementation in tertiary education.

Students will have the opportunity to:
1) Demonstrate skills in program-level curriculum design; 2) Articulate defensible program-level leadership decisions based on an understanding of the curriculum discourses underpinning various forms of educational design; 3) Demonstrate an appreciation of contemporary issues in tertiary education curriculum design and implementation.
Indicative content will include:
