Research Project 3

With the guidance of one or more research supervisors, students will conduct and report the research project which they designed in PSYC6511, Research Project 1. The steps involved in this process include data collection, data analysis, and report writing. The mode of delivery is internal and teaching is by individual supervision.

Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Continued progress with an individual research project under supervision.
  2. Consolidated their general research skills as required by their specific research project.
Content

Students will work together with their primary and secondary supervisors to achieve the objectives specified above.

At least one supervisor must be a member of the academic staff of the School of Behavioural Sciences.

Co-supervision by others outside the School can be arranged.

Assumed Knowledge It is assumed that students will have passed courses in statistics and research methodology, and will have completed a research project, as part of a four-year program in Psychology which has been accredited by the Australian Psychological Society. It is also assumed that they will have completed a research proposal as part of the program, in PSYC6511, Research Project 1. They will also have gained expertise through participation in the previous research course PSYC6515.

  • Individual Supervision: for 2 hour(s) per Week for Full Term (Contact over the semester will be by mutual agreement with the Supervisors.)
