Issues in Developing Economies

10 Units

Many developing countries continue to be blighted by poverty, land degradation and other serious problems. How should the international community respond or can governments in developing economies address their own problems? These issues have become increasingly important in a global environment characterised by increasing interconnectedness of people and places. The widespread global changes have made the understanding of these issues more challenging but even more critical. This interdisciplinary course critically examines the major problems facing developing countries.
