Extended Studies in English 2
In this course, students will explore the ways in which English, specifically as literature, language and media, operates across the curriculum, and intersects with current issues, ideas, strategies and initiatives. The course will explore philosophies for teaching English, and will emphasise the need for English teachers to guide the decisions they make when teaching English with an informed consideration of research and literature in the field. As a part of the course assessment, students will be provided with the opportunity to contribute a scholarly piece of writing to the professional community of English teachers.
