This course provides an in depth study of a topic in engineering. The topic is individually chosen to suit the student’s background and aspirations, and offered as a reading and/or project course under the direction of a member of the academic staff.

Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Outcomes determined for the individual. This course is specifically intended to facilitate satisfactory programs to be devised for students with a non-standard background wishing to enter into a coursework Masters program offered by the Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment

The content is variable, and depends on the context in which the course is to be taken.  It may involve laboratory, literature search or theoretical work in a private study context under the direction of an appointed supervisor.

Requisites
  • Enrolment in this course is restricted to students studying in a coursework Master program within the Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment and requires permission from the relevant program convenor.
