Special Project in Public Health

10 Units

This course will enable students to take a Public Health project in a topic of interest to themselves. It will provide the opportunity to explore in depth a topic of Public Health significance under the guidance of a supervisor from the Public Health Academic staff.

A learning contract will be negotiated between the student and their supervisor at the commencement of the semester the student is enrolled. It is envisaged that a minimum of monthly meetings will be held with the student’s supervisor.

The project may entail an in-depth review of the literature in the topic area or an analysis of an existing data set. This will be clearly set out in a learning contract to be draw up between the Academic supervisor and the student.
